Based on the principle and the theory of life cycle assessment(LCA),the eBalance software was used to evaluate the fur making processes, including soaking, degreasing, pickling, tanning, retanning and fat-liquring. The primary energy demand(PED),acidification potential(AP),eutrophication potential(EP),global warming potential(GWP)were used as the indicators of the environmental impact assessment. Based on the characteristics, normalization and sensitivity analysis of these indicators,it was found that the tanning and re-tanning process have the greatest contribution to the environment burden, and the cumulative environmental impact of these two processes is 65.29%-71.34%. In summary, this study provides a reference for the clean production of fur making industry.
