The different caries removal methods, surface pretreatments and dentin adhesives would influence the dentin bonding strength（DBS）. For most dental adhesives, the DBS of the caries-affected dentin（CAD） is significantly lower than that of the normal dentin. This paper reviewed recently published articles concerning the DBS of CAD.
