Taste is a very complex and important special feeling, and plays an important role in maintaining a stable environment within the animal. While diabetes affects the taste, taste impairment is one of the complications of diabetes. The occurrence of the sense of taste disorder in patients with diabetes significantly reduced their quality of life. In recent years, the prevalence of diabetes has become a rising trend. Therefore, it is very important to study the mechanism of the occurrence of diabetic taste damage . This paper reviews the research progress of diabetic taste damage.
