Invasive fungal disease (IFD) is a common complication after hematopoietic stem cell transplantation (HSCT). The morbidity and mortality of patients with IFD after HSCT are high. In recent years, the epidemiological characteristics of IFD after HSCT has changed due to the emergence of new diagnostic methods, adjustment of treatment strategies and applications of new antifungal agents. Selecting a reasonable treatment strategy based on the diagnostic grade of IFD is expected to reduce the morbidity and mortality of patients with IFD after HSCT. This article summarizes the epidemiological changes, risk factors, diagnostic methods and treatment strategies of IFD among the patients who received HSCT.
